Teaching Methodology
The basic teaching tools adopted by DCET are:-
Lectures, Tutorials and Discussions
- The lectures sessions is a hybrid form of lecture, tutorial and discussions.
- The class size is restricted to 60 so it becomes easier to impart learning through this method.
- Lecture by faculty members give students basic how to approach the course. With a small class size, students are encouraged to ask questions and participate in class-room discussions.
- The tutorials take up application oriented issue, solving problem and discussions on issue concerning various topics. The class size remains small so that teachers can interact with students on a personal basic. Beyond the classroom teaching, students and faculty interact in non formal small discussion for the course work.
Seminar Presentations
Seminars and presentation involve a small group of students usually the group led by a member of staff, discuss one aspect of a subject in depth. It could be, for example, on an exercise or case on an essay that an individual students has presented.
Guest Lectures, Industry Visits
Gust Lectures by eminent personalities in business and social Sector are conducted on a regular basis to provide students with valuable insight into contemporary business and industrial perspectives and the current socio-economic environment.
Industry Visit are organized to provide a proper understanding of the industrial sector and related theory to real life situation. The students visit to companies from Automobile, Agro-business, Banking and stock Exchange sector & etc.
